What does a travel consultant do?
Kind of like a travel agent but more personalized service. Consider me your travel personal assistant. I assess what you want to do, what you can do (with your budget/available time) and get you the most bang for your buck.
What services are offered?
* Personalized itinerary, with air, accommodations, transfers, excursions, restaurant bookings, etc all included. Itinerary with copies of e-tickets will be bound in a handy travel booklet.
* Information sheet on destination(s), including popular sites to visit, restaurant recommendations, safety precautions and other necessary info (currency exchange, weather, emergency info, etc.). (this info is also included in your travel booklet)
* Analysis of your frequent flyer miles, credit card miles and bank miles to see if you qualify for any free upgrades or tickets.
* If applicable, visa application, passport renewal/application guidance assistance
* Packing list and what to bring recommendations
* International phone coordination if necessary
What does this service cost?
The fee varies depending on how much help you need and how soon you need it.
Why can’t I just do this all myself?
You can and personally I love planning and researching for my next trip. But some people either hate that part of travel or are just to busy to do it…..and that is where I come in.
What is your experience?
For many years I was an international film publicist and a large part of my job was planning travel for celebrities and high-profile executives. I planned every waking minute of their trips and catered to all their meticulous needs.
