I love taking baths, but I don’t like lugging around a bucket of bath salts with me on vacation.
Plus I like the ones that have dried petals in them….and there is no way I am spending my vacations cleaning a hotel bathtub!
If you are a bath-aficionado like me, then I have a solution…..herbal bath tea.
The bath salts are neatly packaged in a “tea bag” so that when you are done with your bath clean-up is a breeze…..just toss the bag and go.
Plus since the salts are packed in a tea bag, you don’t have to worry about them spilling everywhere in your suitcase.

Tip of the day: While island hopping, make sure to pack your swimsuit in your carry-on.
This way if your bags don’t make it, you can worry about where your bags might be while sipping a mai-tai at the beach.
P.S. This adorable retro swimsuit is by Esther Williams and is available at Mod Cloth.

US Airways vacation is offering a 5 nights+air+airport transfers package to St. Maarten, starting at $669.
Although US Airways is not my favorite airline, actually I would say they are at the bottom of my list….they still are offering some amazing deals lately that are worth checking out.
Anything to go to St. Maarten and back without breaking the bank (I couldn’t help myself….this rhyme was too good to pass up)!

This weeks “Architectural Marvel” is the Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona, Spain.
Architectural artist Antoni Gaudi broke ground in 1882 and spent the last 40 years of his life working on the project.
Construction still chugs on to this day and is predicted to cease by 2026, but there is controversy on whether or not that date is realistic.
The reason I consider the Sagrada Familia a ‘marvel’ is the fact that every year it morphs and takes on a new life. My pictures from when I saw the building 10 years ago show a completely different building than what my friend visited this past summer.

Most travelers know about Tripadvisor. But just in case some of you don’t, I decided to make it the Travel Website of the Week.
Ever book a hotel and wonder….I wish I could find out what the rooms really look like and not rely on the hotels photoshopped, fresh flower filled version of what a room is?
Well Tripadvisor is the answer…the website is filled with tons of frank reviews of hotels including candid pictures that tourist take of the property. With this website you can make an educated guess on where to stay.
The other great feature is that the website allows you to search several of the big travel search engines at once to get the best rate when booking.
And the fun does not end at hotels….there are reviews of restaurants, tourist attractions and much more.
Next time you book a trip check out tripadvisor.com
