When flying discount airlines in Europe (Easyjet, Ryanair, etc.) I recommend paying the few dollars extra for speedy or priority boarding options.
I did this for my flight from Paris to Nice on Easyjet and it was a lifesaver. There was a dedicated check-in with no line……and a miserable zigzag of 100 jealous people giving me the evil eye right next door.
We were the first to board the plane…..so this helped with securing storage space on the plane and making sure we did not get bumped off an oversold flight once all the seats were taken.
The picture above is of Paris from the plane….look closely and you can see the Eiffel Tower!

I have never been into camping…but after seeing the Verdier Light Caravan concept camper, I had a change of heart.
Designed by the Canadian Alexandre Verdier, this concept car is the ultimate green caravan.
The chic design alone makes me want to snap one up, but when I saw the built in computer, fold out kitchen and solar power system I was sold.
Unfortunately the vehicle is only a concept and is not in production. Call up VW and tell them you need the “Verdier Light Caravan.”

Here is the view from out dinner at the fabulous Mirabelle restaurant in Cannes.
The restaurant is located in the suquet, which is the old part of Cannes.
Below is a table of another restaurant tucked in the side of a wall in the windy quaint streets of the suquet.

I used to hate going to the beach….not a big fan of sand….and when traveling I am to eager to explore to wastespend time on the beach.
That all change when I discoverd the pay beaches in Cannes.
The way it works is you pay to “rent” a lounger on the beach for the day, they provide a towel and an umbrella.
As you lounge, there is a waiter on hand to bring you lunch, drinks, new towels when needed. It is the same concept as going to the pool at a large resort, except it’s the beach and there is no need to be staying at the hotel affiliated with the beach….anyone willing to pay is welcome.
Below is a picture of my favorite beach Plage d’Albion.

A continuation of yesterdays tip of the day regarding ATMs……place the money you want to access abroad in your checking account.
Many ATMs abroad do not give you a choice between savings and checkings…..they choose for you…..and they always choose checking.
