I never go anywhere without a stash of ziploc bags in my suitcase.  They come in handy in many ways, below are a few examples:

*organize your suitcase with large ziploc bags, place all underwear in one, bathing suits in another, etc…

*use them for dirty laundry

*pack a wet bathing suit in one to avoid wetting the rest of your clothes

*pack shoes in them to keep the dirt off other things

*use them to pack large bathroom products that don’t fit in your toiletry kit, like shampoo bottles

Remember to always take a few empty ones, as they come in hand at the most random of times!

Aloha for less…

Munchkin laptop

I am addicted to technology, especially small gadgets.  So when I discovered the Nokia N810 internet tablet I had to have one.  I now wonder how I lived without it!

First let me clarify that the Nokia N810 is not a mobile phone, it is an internet tablet.  You are probably thinking….”my Blackberry/Sidekick/iphone has internet so why do I need this?”

Think of the N810 as a mini-mini-laptop made just for internet and basic operations.  The screen is bigger than most phones (High-resolution 4.13″ WVGA display with 800 x 480 pixels) and it has full keyboard, which large screen phones like the iphone lack.

There is no need to pay for a monthly subscription, as free wifi is readily available in many places.  But for those that need a assurance of wifi can sign up for Boingo Mobile wireless at only $7.95 per month for unlimited wifi access worldwide (check their website for available hotspots).

The best part is that the N810 is not as expensive as most compact laptops (can be found for around $300) and only weighs .5 lbs so it is much lighter than a laptop.

The N810 is how I posted from this last trip, and pictured above is the N810 taking a break at a cafe in Paris.

Hidden in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, an hour outside of Marrakech, you will find the Kasbah Tamadot.

An oasis built by the Virgin mogul Sir Richard Branson (who has to be the coolest billionaire on earth), is an uber-luxurious but still authentic Moroccan experience.

The Kasbah has 18 rooms and 6 berber tents, indoor and outdoor pools, a hammam and beautiful gardens.

Dinner is offered at different locations on the property each night, my favorite location being the rose petal filled courtyard pool.

Rates start at 320€, including breakfast.  Find out more here….

Actually just Tigers no lions, no bears…….oh my!
