Luggage obesity

Does this scenario sound familiar to you: walking up to the check-in counter at the airport, your palms are sweating, you feel the anxiety creeping it’s way through your body….all because you know your suitcase is too heavy and you think it might be over the weight limit….and you are afraid the airline employee is going to charge you a fat fine….

Make “obese suitcase anxiety” disappear with this handy little gadget, the luggage scale.

All you do is place the hook onto the handle of your bag, and pick up the scale with the top handle.  Immediately you will be given the verdict on whether or not, you can really take 20 pairs of shoes on the trip.

The scale reads up to 75lbs and also includes a tape measure.  The scale is small (4″x3″x1.5″) and light, so you can take it with you….which is handy if you are a souvenir shopaholic.

The travel luggage scale is available at travel boutique en-day.com

The Grand Hotel Leveque is a well known Parisian gem.  So what makes this gem shine?…..I would have to say, location and price.

The hotel is located on rue Cler a fabulous pedestrian market street a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower in the 7th arrondissement.  The street is lined with tons of food vendors and is home to one of the best cafes in Paris, Cafe du Marche.

And as far as price goes….considering how cute, clean and central the hotel is….it is practically free (for Paris at least).  By free I mean 69Euros for a single and up to 142Euros for a triple.

The rooms are snug but well appointed and if you are lucky to get a vacancy you have won the Paris hotel lotto!

In London, most movie premieres happen in one of the theaters lining Leicester Square.

If you have some free time on your next trip to London and want to stargaze, check out Mark Boardman’s website that has a comprehensive list of all London premieres coming up, including location, time, etc.

If you get there early enough you could rub elbows with the paparazzi, take a few pics and tell everyone back at home you attended….I promise not to tell on you….

But remember to get there early, as bird-watching is a hobby of the past and star-stalking is the new pastime of today….
