FreeFest check-in, off to Washington D.C.

Getting to the airport, checking in and going through LAX security was a breeze this morning. The line was full of enthusiastic FreeFest winners, and everyone in the airport (including security) was so nice…despite experiencing a security measure that caught all of us off guard….has anyone heard TSA yell “BRAVO” before?…I later asked someone from TSA about what the term “BRAVO” was about. They said “if they saw something they found was a threat to security, i.e. the “B” word, they yell it out so that everyone knows to be on standby.” EVERYONE waits until they say “all clear”. You just hope they say “all clear”…
Right now, we’re in the air (yes, thanks to Virgin America’s wifi services I have internet access to keep all of you updated) with great ambiance and wonderful company. The plane is dedicated for those strictly going to FreeFest, and so far the ride couldn’t be more pleasant. The dim lighting of pink and aqua illuminate the ceiling and sides of the plane, it’s almost as though we were in a nightclub in New York (including a complimentary cocktail, of course). None of us have our windows open…it’s too awesome of an interior to waste. Sit back, relax and stay tuned for more…

Follow us to Virgin Mobile’s FreeFest

Virgin Mobile is giving back much more than what charitable individuals could ever expect. Those who’ve donated their time to The RE*Generation, Virgin Mobile’s program to help homeless children live a better life than on the streets, have been given the chance to attend FreeFest as a VIP, the ultimate “thank you” concert of the year. Participants from the East Coast will be driven there in style by special megabuses and West Coast volunteers are given a Virgin America round-trip ticket from Los Angeles to D.C. Some of the line-up bands include Weezer, Blink 182, Public Enemy and more…all for FREE! This Sunday, 35,000 charitable winners will attend FreeFest…one of which includes our reporter.
We will cover the event LIVE this weekend, providing you updates periodically throughout the day. Stay tuned for more…

The future is in the grounds

I wonder what my future holds?
