The journey begins….
So the adventure begins with a bang…….Air France Espace Premiere (first class)…..thanks to American Express….I will now really “never leave home without it”.
From the moment we got off the car at LAX, we had an attendant catering to our every whim……I never even touched my bag once….it just miraculously vanished from the car and I was latter given a claim ticket (hope it arrives).
Once on board our jaws dropped when we saw our seats….more like cabins! But the seat was just the beginning……with in seconds we were given a Christan Lacroix pajama and slippers to change into, champagne and incredible “mise en bouche” (fancy little finger foods).
After dinner our seats were transformed into beds with duvet and all. I tucked into bed watched a movie, and what felt like seconds later, awoke in London.

Hotel du Cap
Preparing for my upcoming trip to the south of France, I thought I would make Luxury Mondays about the place I wish I could be staying at, the Hotel du Cap (where I am actually staying is more of a Budget Thursdays kind of place).
The hotel is located at the tip of the Cap d’Antibes, equidistant between Cannes and Nice. During the Cannes Film Festival, the Du Cap is THE place to stay. Getting a room is impossible and only A list celebs get the privilege of staying in the highly coveted rooms.
The Du Cap exudes opulent luxury from every square inch. From the gorgeously manicured 22 acres of garden the hotel occupies to the heated sea water infinity pool….who’s view is always of extravagant mega-yachts.
The property consists of several different mini-hotels within the hotel. There is the main hotel, the Villas, Deux Fountaines (a mini-mansion all to yourself) and the Eden Roc (a hotel hanging off the edge of the ocean cliff, with never-ending ocean views).
Visit the Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc for more info.
