Snap a pic of your bags

As if loosing your bag wasn’t painful enough, airlines make you go through the arduous task of writing a list of everything you lost in order to be reimbursed.

To make the task easier, take a pic of the contents of your luggage before you pack.  This will make the list easier to conjure up.

Avoid the lag…

To avoid jetlag when you are traveling far, make it a habit to change your watch to the new time zone once you get on the plane…and start living by this new time zone immediately. Acclimating as soon as possible will help ease the pain of jetlag.

Travel for science?!

When I was at UCLA there were always broke students signing up for clinical trials to make an extra buck…then there where those selling blood and “other” things to pay for a night out drinking.

If you were one of these human-guinea-pigs, I have a travel related clinical trial that looks mighty appealing….a study on jetlag.

Clinilabs is willing to pay you $2,500 to fly to france for three nights, in order to study jetlag. An added perk is that the flight is on a private jet, according to Gadling.

Bag lady

Always pack an extra bag in your suitcase, just in case you return with more stuff than you left with. The best type is a foldable shopping bag that is compact in size…but can hold a lot.  

A great cheap solution is one of the shopping bags Trader Joe’s sells….although it is not chic, they fold small and can help out in a bind on the way home….and they also double as good beach bags!
